Now available on our site -- brief audio presentations created by SHRM on a variety of topics. We are currently featuring sound bites with Cindy Butler, SPHR, and Linda Lulli, SPHR, Government Relations Co-Directors for the Rhode Island State Council of SHRM, on the topics Employment Verification and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Audio files are presented in two different formats: MP3 and Flash. Please choose the one which best suits your needs. Links on the right below will start the Flash version of each presentation. If the audio does not start to play immediately after you click the Flash link, please wait a few seconds and then try clicking again.

Links on the left below will download each audio presentation to your computer as an MP3 file; to open the file and hear the presentation, you will need an MP3-compatible media player on your computer, such as Winamp, Windows Media Player, iTunes, QuickTime, or RealPlayer. If you don't already have Flash or one of these media players, they are available as free downloads.

 
If you use the MP3 link, please note that the entire MP3 file (1.6 MB) must download to your computer before it will begin to play. The download will only take a few moments if you have a fast connection to the internet (DSL or cable), but it may take much longer if you have a dial-up connection.  Depending on your computer's security settings, your browser may prompt you to authorize the download before it will be allowed.

For most users, the Flash version of the audio presentation will start more quickly than the MP3 file, but you should choose the MP3 format if you wish to save a copy of the audio presentation on your own computer.
